The Earth has been taken over by mind consuming species, leaving their bodies intact. Melanie Stryder has been taken over by a creature called the Wanderer. But Melanie was more challenging than usual, she wouldn’t let the new tenant of her body possess her mind, she did the opposite and filled his with her memories of the man she loves called Jared. Jared was still a human in hiding from the creatures. Wanderer cannot let go of her bodies’ instinct towards Jared, and falls in love with him. Wanderer and Melanie both set out to find the man they love, but become rivals.

I think this book is another great read from Stephenie Meyer. It was gripping because of her great use of detail. Also, if you are a fan of Twilight series you will love this, as Meyer has a way of making you fall for the bad guy.
