Fresh from their home state of NYC the four piece electronic rock band descended on Birmingham’s Bar Academy to play an intimate gig, showcasing their best songs. On the bill with several other young international bands, they headlined.

Glint are made up of front man Jase Blankfort (guitar, piano, synthesizers), Mateus Tebaldi (drums, percussion), Alon Leventon (synthesizers, programming), and Dave Johnsen (bass). Their style is alternative/indie but very different from our home grown British sound. A fan favourite ‘Boy Of The Stars’ was their best song of the night, a slightly dubby tune overlaid with delicate keyboard and great vocals proved to be a success with the audience too. Could be compared in style to well known fellow American band The Killers, but less heavy on the drums and a slower more off beat pace to their songs. Their clever mix sets them apart from all the other indie bands that saturate the chart today. Definitely a band to look for in the future.
