OI! FIX UP LOOK SHARP! Looks like Dizzee Rascal well and truly did. With eleven tracks, Rascal is back on form with an album that has all the party anthems you need to start off a good rave. With tracks like ‘Dance Wiv Me’, ‘Bonkers’ and ‘Holiday’ you won’t be disappointed. This upbeat album still has Rascal’s signature lyrical sharpness that you can expect from all his tracks.
Like Tupac or Snoop dog? ‘Chillin’ Wiv Da Man Dem’, may appeal to you, with the smooth, R’n’B melody. ‘Cant Tek No More’, featuring a collaboration with Shy FX, got Rascal observing society today with lyrics like: “So much war in the world today, even women and kids get blown away, what’s the cause of it? Money as usual, the poor and innocent suffer as usual.” It’s a real eye opener with a carnival-esque rhythm. Could it be a start of a revolution for the Rascal?
A bit like Quality Street, Dizzee has said that ‘Tongue N’ Cheek’ is a party album – that it’s naughty and nice, something for everyone.
