The spring has kicked off in style for us here at Voice 21, winning the Team Arts Award at Sandwell’s prestigious STAR Awards. A night dedicated to the young people and talent in Sandwell, and recognition for the adults who help them achieve their success.

March has been a month of star talent with our new reporter Shanice Abbott going to interview the hot number 1 artist of the moment ‘Tinie Tempah’. Also in the spotlight this issue are the Shadow Youth Cabinet, who recently held elections to find enthusiastic and passionate young adults to represent the youth of Sandwell. Welcome to Voice 21’s anniversary issue, spending 10 years as the ultimate magazine for young people in Sandwell. We begin the new era with a big welcome to Sheridan, who is taking over the role of the new editor, she looks back on 10 years of Voice 21.

In this bumper issue we bring you a new feature “A day in the life of…” where our volunteers get the chance to spend a day with an interesting person, public service or group. Sam Moir chose to spend the day with the Police. We bring you the full report from our Village Du Monde team who took part in a cultural youth exchange trip to France this summer, and hot news from everyone’s favourite vampires in the New Moon feature.
